RDA Gold Coast, RDA Ipswich & West Moreton and RDA Logan & Redland Bay are proud to partner with Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) to deliver a series of workshops designed to boost the competitiveness and innovation of businesses in the Food and Agribusiness sectors. Renowned as one of the best ways to gain detailed knowledge of how retail works, here is your opportunity to talk to industry experts.

These workshops are specifically designed to give small companies the skills and confidence to compete more effectively in the Retail, especially in supermarkets, but also into other commercially based channels to markets that may be attractive as part of your growth strategy – but you just don’t know enough about them to decide if and how to move forward. The Private Label Readiness session in the afternoon will be facilitated by John, and will cover such areas as:

  • An overview of the Private Label Market
  • Private label defined - what is it and why
  • Industry overview - how prevalent is it
  • Supplier strategic considerations
  • Commercial modelling
  • Packaging
  • Retailer expectations
  • Retailer engagement
  • Managing the risk
  • Cost and Margin considerations
  • Importance of relationships and persistence
