About the Event

Opportunities Across the Pacific

The Pacific Alliance, together with FIAL and Brisbane City Council, invite you to attend an industry briefing session on opportunities to grow trade with The Pacific Alliance countries.

The Pacific Alliance economic trade bloc, comprising of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru has a combined population of 225 million and accounts for half of Latin America's exports. It generates a third of the region's GDP, making it the 8th largest economy in the world.

Australia’s enhanced engagement with the PA presents new and growing opportunities for exporters and importers from Queensland.

Gain in-depth market insights from the Pacific Alliance Trade Commissioners, Ambassadors, government and business representatives to inform and enhance your trade with the region. Topics will include food and agribusiness, industry and services, investment & tourism.

Why look across the Pacific now?

  • Australia is currently negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with The Pacific Alliance
  • Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru have been rated as the 4 best countries to do business with in Latin America
  • Improved Government presence, support and connectivity between Australia and The Pacific Alliance countries
