Self-Healing Materials

Materials that have the ability to intrinsically heal or repair themselves on damage are known as self-healing materials. Considering the range of new possibilities with composite materials and coatings, every application that requires advanced composites or coatings is now beginning to value a self-healing feature as a must-have. In the food and beverage industry, this is finding application in smart packaging, protective clothing, as well as in components used in food manufacturing processes and equipment.

Read more about self-healing materials and how they can help extend the shelf-life of your product or improve your process. - FIAL Chairman, Peter Schutz
